Bogdan, Tom – VP of Sales, Marketing & Innovation

Tom has been with MDC for 28+ years. His background in fabrication coupled with his manufacturing experience and knowledge of vacuum technology leaves him extremely well rounded and uniquely qualified to service MDC"s diverse customer base. Throughout his tenure at MDC Tom has served the organization in many roles starting out as a product manager before being promoted to Director of Technical Sales.

In his current role as VP of Sales, Marketing & Innovation, Tom is directly responsible for overseeing the sales objective for all divisions as well as product marketing, brand management and corporate sponsorships.

Tom‘s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and dedication to our customers. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company‘s reach.


Champion, Mark – General Manager, MDC Europe

Mark is a practical, hands-on leader who cut his teeth in the Construction Industry, specifically leading global divisions of $multi-billion equipment providers.

Mark, a mechanical engineer by training, quickly climbed the ladder into general management and has been responsible for the acquisition, integration, and disposal of many businesses.

Mark brings with him a fresh set of eyes and a laser focus on leadership and operational efficiency.


Cockroft, Roger – Chairman and CEO

Roger started his career in the automotive industry helping launch Toyota in Europe. He strengthened his business knowledge working for professional service firms such as KPMG and PwC managing the business restructuring for global clients. He moved to the US in 2004 and lead the reengineering of the business processes of a utility and commodity trading company – helping it increase revenues fivefold to $20 billion per year. Prior to joining us, Roger was CEO and joint owner for a $100 million revenue aluminum casting business based in Farsund Norway.

Roger holds a bachelor degree in Information Technology from Birmingham City University, in the UK, and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.


Forbes, Erick – General Manager, Gas Delivery Products

Erick started his career with MDC back in 2001. In the last 15 years he’s held an array of Technical and Sales related management positions throughout MDC. In 2006, Erick took a sabbatical to start a successful Tech company in NYC but six years later he returned to his true passion, the semi-conductor industry.

Most recently as the Director of Sales for the Gas Delivery division, Erick has built long term multi-million dollar relationships with key OEM customers and has extensive knowledge of the markets he serves.

Erick holds a bachelor degree in 3D Modeling and Graphic Design from Expression College.


Jones, Sherry – Director, Human Resources

As the MDC Vacuum Products top human resources executive, Sherry has global responsibility for all human resources activities, payroll, and internal communications.

Sherry has more than 30 years of human resources and management experience. Most recently, prior to joining MDC Vacuum Products, she served as an executive manager in manufacturing for 10 years. Prior tothat, she served in a variety of human resources management and leadership roles in industries including construction, telecommunications, health and fitness, real estate/property management, and the auto industry. In addition, she has managed her own human resources consulting business for several years. Her years of professional training has helped drive her success in the everchanging human resources field.

Sherry’s education is in Business and Psychology from San Jose State University.


Lima, Timothy O. – Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining MDC, Mr. Lima worked for more than 14 years in Big 4 accounting firms, including audit, tax and advisory leadership roles with a focus on high growth and turn-around enterprises across a wide variety of industries.  In addition, Mr. Lima has over 10 years of business leadership experience through senior management positions he’s held in various industries, including key financial and operation roles in an aluminum casting company in Farsund, Norway and a top 200 global engineering and design firm.

Mr. Lima is a senior executive with expertise in leading teams in driving financial and operational improvements and he has significant experience in numerous international markets including Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, India and the Philippines.  He has an established record of adding significant value to businesses through providing and managing timely and pro-active value added financial and operational information and insights.

Mr. Lima received his B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Public


Moore, James – Vice President, Engineering & Technology

Mr. Moore has over 25 years of vacuum system design and manufacturing experience. Jim started his career remanufacturing production tools for the semiconductor industry. He then moved into a research engineering role developing deposition sources and systems for a variety of HV, UHV and XHV applications. He has published over 20 technical papers and is responsible for a number of patented technologies in the field of thin film deposition.

Prior to MDC, Mr. Moore was divisional manager of two Thermionics Laboratory’s facilities. He also lead product groups for MeiVac Incorporated and TFI Telemark.


Nguyen, Quangminh – VP of Quality

Quangminh – Minh for short – has made his 10+ year career in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, specializing in the semiconductor equipment industry and quality assurance. Most recently, Minh held a senior Supplier Quality position at Applied Materials managing over 15 major suppliers in machining, gas delivery, and contract manufacturing commodities before joining MDC Vacuum Products.

Minh holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University and a Master degree in Engineering, focusing on robotics and renewable engineering.


Spencer, Mark – General Manager, Insulator Seal, Inc.

Mr. Spencer started his career in the commercial nuclear power industry as a mechanical engineer specializing in the installation and welding of critical performance and severe service piping systems. Mark played a key role in the implementation of Video Arc Monitoring Systems used in the validation and documentation process to support NRC requirements. He founded Technical Welding Service one of first companies specializing in Automatic Orbital Welding of tubing systems used in the pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. Published standards and procedures developed by TWS are still used in today’s standards for both industries. Mr. Spencer then became Vice President of Consolidated Precision Corporation a leading provider of cryogenic valves, vacuum jacketed piping systems and components to the industrial gas industry as well many of the rocket launch platforms in the US and ESA.

Mr. Spencer is a long standing member of the American Vacuum Society and has been published in their Journal of Vacuum Science.
